Tommy Castellano Endorses EJ Otero

Evelio “EJ” Otero, Jr. is honored to receive the endorsement of West Tampa businessman, Tommy Castellano. This endorsement is important because Castellano is a small businessman that understands that a member of Congress needs to have expertise specific to the issues in order to effectively and efficiently introduce solutions; and, because Tommy is a former candidate who understands what it will take to win this district and he has faith that OTERO WILL WIN.

Recently, Tommy asked his supporters, volunteers and neighbors to join him in supporting EJ Otero for Congress because “with all of the knowledge and experience he draws from his time in the US. Air Force, Otero is the best choice for Florida”. Castellano went on to say: “Otero also has the common sense we need in Washington D.C. and the leadership skills to push the reforms we need for the people and the economy to flourish, now more than ever”.

Though health issues were a factor in his decision, withdrawing from the race was not an easy decision for Castellano - endorsing the candidacy OTERO for Congress was!

In accepting this endorsement from Castellano, Otero pledged to take the plight of small businesses to Congress, where he will lead the fight to remove burdensome regulations from small businesses. Castellano pledged to continue his advocacy on behalf of small business thru Otero. Otero invites all small business people to join Castellano in sharing their struggles and ideas for reforms with him.

Congressional candidate Evelio “EJ” Otero, Jr. has achieved the monumental task of qualifying to run for the U.S. House of Representatives by winning the support of over 2,300 voters. An overwhelming amount of signatures on the candidate petitions were earned by EJ visiting voters in their homes, at businesses, and at local events. He undertook the candidate petition route to qualify for elected office because he believes in representative government, which to him means meeting people where they’re at, to listen and discuss their concerns and hear their suggestions.

Puerto Rico’s Conservative Governor Luis Fortuno has come out in support of retired Air Force Colonel EJ Otero in his bid for the U.S. Congress.

Governor Fortuno said that he is looking forward to working with Colonel Otero because Otero understands which economic policies will create prosperity for all and and that he will use his background and experience to improve the economy of the country and expand business with Puerto Rico. Otero accepted the endorsement by speaking to the values and principles that he shares with Governor Fortuno, the same values which have brought economic prosperity to Puerto Rico.

Otero is running uncontested in the Republican primary and seeks a showdown against Democrat Congresswoman Kathy Castor, and he is expected be very competitive in the race, especially considering that Castor is in lock-step with President Obama’s failed agenda.
